Vintage Beer Label Scarcity & Demand Ratings
Beer label collectors want to know how much their labels are worth.
Beer label values are just like any other collectible where scarcity & demand establish value.
Of course, condition & aesthetics also play a large part too.
Here I can only give ratings for scarcity & demand.
My ratings are based on 40+ years experience as
a dealer/collector buying & selling old U.S. beer labels.
The scale is 1 to 10, where 1 is the lowest value & 10 is the highest.
Ratings are for clean unused labels only. It is much easier to find offgrade used examples.
Scarcity
A scarcity value of 10 is VERY RARELY used.
It is reserved only for extremely scarce labels (usually less than 3 examples known).
A scarcity value of 1 is assigned to "quantity labels" that survived by the 1,000's
usually being found in the many abondoned breweries of the 1950's.
Demand
A demand rating of 10 is more commonly assigned (then a 10 in scarcity).
A value of 10 indicates that far more collectors would like to acquire the label,
than the amount of times it is offered for sale or trade.
A demand rating of 1 is assigned to very common labels,
or labels from areas/breweries that few collectors desire.

I created it to help people with beer label values because values are
constantly changing & widely varying, especially in auction settings.
